They've made leveling a lot easier since its release, so don't be afraid of the 'korean grind' MMO stereotype, NCSoft has generally made Aion a lot more new player friendly than it initially was, so there's that.ДЄt end game you'll find there's actually a lot to do for an MMO but, it being a korean MMO and despite the changes to make the game a little easier, there is still quite the gear grind. Aion is an immensely fun game, but I suggest getting someone to play with you.

I played Aion since its release in '09 and only stopped playing earlier this year. They're the same ones that cry on LFG about stupid в™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґ and everyone just ends up blocking them. The game is fun, don't listen to all these drama queens talking about в™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґ. I can't imagine they'll be able to fix the population imbalance, and without world PVP, Aion really has nothing on WoW and I don't even want to play WoW. If they're revamping it, I might try again.

I do love the classes, combat, character creation, and wings. The cash shop prices for even inane things are way too high. The inability to share a house is a turnoff as well. When I played years ago, that place was a mad house. There were times when there was literally nobody even standing around the auction house. The server I was on just felt entirely dead on the Asmos side. I didn't want to pay $50 (or whatever) to transfer to one of the few good servers. The population imbalance completely ruins world pvp. I was playing Aion prior to AA, trying to get back into the game. For me they ended up happening late in the evening and could only make one.they are required to gear up. Also check out when they have the sieges and arenas. The hardest thing about getting into Aion now is playing RNGesus to catch up in gear. All but one server ended up with Elyos outnumbering the Asmos again. THey eventually did a server merge to try and balance but it was too late. On 12 out of 14 servers the Elyos outnumbered the Asmos and NCSoft did nothing when people were rerolling to the winning side. at least until Black Desert hits.ДЄion died due to NCSoft mismanaging server population. Also, the character creation is about the best you'll find in the MMO world and probably makes Aion worth trying just for that. The game is incredibly polished and still looks great even by today's standards. It has been around so long that pretty much every bug/exploit has been fixed long ago. There is still the ruins of a once glorious game you can traverse, and there are systems in place to level you up quickly and give you some decent gear to jumpstart you. That being said, Aion has some good in it as well. There is no family/guild share system like we have in AA. Expect the same thing in Aion to take at least a couple months. Starting AA, you could have a basic 16x16 house in a week or two if you're determined. Non-instanced housing is bought through an auction system and the prices are extraordinary. There is a giant island for each faction that contains all the non-instanced housing.

The only real game left is just raiding, so you might as well play WoW, which at least has good instanced pvp. Most of the profession system is entirely useless. The devs once cared, but their team has been downsized to a shadow of its former glory and their souls have been crushed. which is much of what the game is focused on. Be careful what server you play on, as most are hitting 3:1 or worse faction imbalances which basically eliminate world pvp. Nothing is cheap on the cash shop though. WoW and Lineage 2 killed it though, so it went F2P with a cash shop. It was originally a sub based game, quite innovative and well implemented for its time.
